Some years ago, the fine people at LM cigarettes ran this ad campaign in Germany on city light posters and billboards.
I guess they wanted to use this hip vinyl thingy and a good old fashioned turntable in their visuals. And I can understand that is is a challenge for the art department to make this look good when you desperately want to have the pack of cigarettes in that bottom right corner.
So hey – let’s just play with a picture, OK? And have the tonearm come in from out of nowhere. On that picture, I’m unsure which direction the record would spin.
Wouldn’t it be great if they had someone in marketing who knew how a real record player looks and works.
